Elon Musk is the co-founder and CEO of Tesla.
He’s also the founder, CEO, engineer, and investor in several other companies including SpaceX, The Boring Company, Neuralink, and OpenAI.
Elon Musk’s tweets have been known to disrupt cryptocurrency markets, creating both rallies and huge sell-offs, after he lends public support for or lays criticism against, various projects.
He’s known for supporting DogeCoin (DOGE), and he openly shared his company’s support for bitcoin (BTC) by announcing Tesla would accept bitcoin as a mode of payment to purchase vehicles.
Musk also shares his thoughts on Bitcoin regularly using Twitter, like announcing in 2021 that Tesla bought USD $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin.
In July of 2022 Musk and Tesla sold over USD $900 million worth of bitcoin (BTC) to maximize Tesla’s cash position, due in part to COVID lockdowns in China.
Tesla did not sell any of its Dogecoin (DOGE) holdings. Tesla still has more than USD $200 million worth of digital assets.
