The market spotlight was mostly on U.S. jobs-related data during this NFP week, although geopolitical headlines stole the show and spurred a bunch of risk-off moves early on. Chinese markets were closed in observance of National Day holidays for the most part of the week, but that didn't stop markets from enjoying strong volatility.  Inflation reports from Europe were also front and center, along with speeches influencing the monetary policy outlook among major central banks, including Fed head Powell's testimony on Monday and new Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba's remarks concerning BOJ rate hikes.
