Noob, noobie, n00b,newb, or newbie all refer to someone new to crypto trading, digital currencies, or new to cryptocurrencies altogether.
A productive noob, due to his lack of knowledge about a topic, is a sponge, who takes every morsel of information, good or bad (he can’t tell the difference, many times), and tries to apply it to his trading.
Noobs mostly follow anything that shines or guarantees wins or easy profits.
Due to their eagerness to fit in and get Lambo Wealth, they are highly susceptible to snake oil salesmen and crypto charlatans shilling the next Bitcoin (BTC), and they’ve been known to be victims of a rug pull or two.
They probably don’t know what a blockchain is, and they’re probably always asking you what to buy and when to sell.
They’ve got the Coinbase Mobile Wallet app installed, but they have no idea what a seed phrase is, nor did they save a copy of it.
But sometimes they forget there’s a thing called Google that can help them at least get started.
Noobs are nice people. They want to learn and they ask a lot of questions.
If you come across a noob, don’t be a d-bag.
Be a friend.
Shine a light and share some of that alpha with the rest of us.
